Remember when you were a kid and just couldn't WAIT for summer? School seemed to drag on forever, the days were getting warmer, and you just wanted to be free! The thought of the warm sun on your face, the soft grass between your toes, days with your friends at the beach, and those long summer nights? A little piece of heaven.

So what happened? If you are like me, you don't think about those days so much anymore. The stress of life seems to drown out any thoughts of fun in the sun. And like me at one time, maybe the body just gets really tired, and you've put on a few pounds, and you just don't have the energy to do it anymore. I've been there. I think at one time or another most of us have been there.

The good news? It doesn't have to stay that way.

Truth be told I hate the beach ("I" being Coach Nancy). I'm just not a beach person. I don't like walking around in a bathing suit, no matter what kind of shape I'm in. 

But you know what? So what!

I look forward to our YOU 2.0 as a way to get refocused after a long winter, and spend just a season tightening up on my nutrition and learning new ways to eat healthier, and tasty new foods to do it with. 

And even if I don't want to go lounge on the beach, carrying 10 less pounds on a hike in the mountains, or tearing through the woods on the mountain bike, or even just a leisurely walk through the neighborhood is a lot easier.

And if that doesn't jazz you, the health benefits should. Less body fat means less stress on your internal organs like your heart, lungs and kidneys, and you will be amazed how good your knee and hips will feel too.

No gym membership is required for this challenge. We provide the coaching and support you need to help you when life gets in the way and the going gets tough. Of course being a part of Cr8 Fitness can enhance your experience

We take all the guesswork out of what food is going to help you shed unwanted pounds with done-for-you meal plans, recipe guides, and shopping lists. We stocked this challenge with tips for restaurant eating, building a protein shake, and prepping food and bulk cooking. 

Accountability

Doing it alone is hard. Doing it with someone (or someone's) makes getting through the hard times easier. It's nice when you know someone has your back. You'll receive lots of encouragement and help on our private Facebook group.

Here's How It Works

Our theme this year is "Success Simplified". We want to make sure that you can absolutely do this, if you put your mind to it and are determined to Make It Happen.


But I want you to have eyes wide open. "Simple" and "Easy" are not the same thing. There is a reason it's called a challenge and a reason it only lasts 4 weeks. 


Can I get real? When it comes down to it eating healthy is not hard, it's simply a choice you make. Every single person reading this knows what hard is. Fighting cancer is hard. Losing a parent or spouse is hard. You only get one life and one body. You are an adult and it's time to take responsibility for your choices, good and/or less than ideal. YOU are not a bad person regardless. Just own it. Some people may think I am a lousy "salesperson" by telling you this, and that's ok. I am a coach first and foremost, and the last thing any of us involved in this project want is for you to be less happy with yourself at the end of the 4-weeks than you were when you started. 


Eating healthy, nutritious  food,  and in the way we are going to do it over the next 4-weeks may be different than you are eating now, and that can seem hard. I get that. But that's why we are here. To assist you through those challenges and on to a happier and healthier you.


About The Meal Plan

There Are Two Battles... ...when it comes to "healthy eating". The first is the battle between your ears, your mindset. Working through feelings of "good enough", "self-worth", "nothing works for me". That kind of thing. Very important for long term success. The second is the realities of life. Spouse, kids, stressful job, sucky commute - that whole deal. How do I find time to plan, shop, prepare? The drive-thru is just easier! The question we need to answer at the outset is "Which of those battles do you want to fight first?" Our "You 2.0" menu plans are designed to help you fight battle #2. You'll develope the skill and learn to devote the time to actually menu plan on a weekly basis. It's a real challenge for a lot of us. We really do have only so many hours in the day! And one of the many things we have learned over our years of nutrition coaching is that prebuilt menu plans are really helpful for a lot of you. You'll also have our have Done- for- You shopping lists. You won't have to invent by yourself. And don't stress. I've got your back when you have questions.
