Smart Group Training

Appropriate Resistance Training: Muscle is your body’s fat burning engine. We want to be as strong as we can be, pound for pound. A strong body is built to handle the everyday demands of life. When we build strength, we are building muscle, and muscle is the foundation of our metabolic machine. The more lean tissue we have, the more calories we burn and the easier it is to get and stay lean. Putting load through your body strengthens your bones, ligaments and tendons. Be stronger and live longer.

Appropriate Cardio/Energy Systems Training: We all love getting a good sweat on, but there is too much of a good thing. The good news is that you don’t have to do endless hours on the treadmill. By getting the right kind of cardio at the right time, you can get your heart healthy, burn fat, and keep all that hard earned lean tissue that makes you look and feel so good.

Fun Fact: We don’t get slow and lose power because we get old, we get old because we let ourselves get slow and don’t train for power. The ability to activate our central nervous system and turn things on and off fast is the key to longevity in our abilities and performance. We can train speed in a ton of different ways that are appropriate for any age. The bonus is that this kind of metabolic training is a ton of fun.

Real World Coaching: When life gets in the way, your coach has your back. Personal advice, support, and accountability from someone who has been there means you never have to go it alone.

Bite Size Daily Practice: It’s the small daily actions, practiced consistently over time, that lead to big changes. You’ll be challenged to think and build skills, and we’ll have plenty of fun on your journey. Our daily nutrition talks in the gym spark real time application at home and at work. We discuss nutrition practices, eating out, meal plans, how to grocery shop, recipe ideas and how to lose weight for the long run.

Nutrition Challenges Throughout the year: About 4 times a year we dial our focus and challenge each other to get real about healthy eating. Sizzling Summer Slimdown, Sugar Free Me, Metabolic Makeover, Clean and Lean and Transform in Four are just a few of the challenges we have done. Doing them with your coach and your fitness family sparks a new type of accountability that works a lot better then going it alone.
