The Summer of 2024 is here! At Cr8 Fitness we plan to be Mentally Tough putting in Extra Effort instead of taking the summer off from focussing on our health. The Challenge has been thrown down and accepted.
There are three parts to the challenge. Attendance and stepping up on the InBody are self explanatory and relatively easy to accomplish. The third part of the challenge is going to take a bit of thought and cr8-tivity.
Each month you will pick one extra curricular goal to tackle. You could pick the same goal all summer. Here's a list to help get your Cr8-tive energy flowing.
- No chips, crackers, or pretzels today.
- no salty foods
- Plan your meals for the next day
- Eat Whole Foods
- Eat healthy fats, purposely add them into your day
- No Soda
- Eat at least 6 cups of vegetables
- Eat only when hungry – you’ll need to wait for those hunger pains
- Have a meal without bread or rice or pasta
- Have more veggies than fruit
- Have a protein shake instead of a meal
- Eat protein at every meal
- No pizza
- No icecream
- Only 2 drinks per week or less
- Take a 15 minute walk
- Drink 1 glass of water with each meal
- Go to bed 15 minutes early
- Eat veggies at 2 meals
- Turn off electronic devices for an hour
- Have a salad as a main meal
- Do not eat after your last meal
- No Bread
- Ski for at least 4 minutes
- Eat Raw vegetables
- Eat only meals, no snacking
- Foam Roll for 10 minutes
- Stretch or use a Lacrosse ball for 10 minutes
- Do 10 pushups 3 times today
- Hold a plank for as long as you can
- Do 10 Get Ups twice daily
- Drink only Zero calories drinks
- No sweets
Here is what you need to do. Look through the list, what catches your eye? What do you know you could work and and actually have success with? (not something you already do) What would you like to make as your goal? Do you need to customize it a bit?
For example: Could you realistically go without sweets for a whole month? What if you tweaked the goal to having sweets just once a week?
Or what if you want to stretch more at home but 10 minutes a day seems just too daunting. Can you do that once on the weekend and once during the week?
Your goal needs to fit like a glove. After you customize it you should be able to feel confident that you can get it done.
You'll be tagging your name on the board after your goal so I can help keep you accountable.
