Celebrate Our 15th Year in Business with 15 Challenges
On May 8, 2008, we ran our first training. 5:00am, under lights we rigged up on a basketball hoop in our yard. I am so grateful for all the wonderful people and amazing relationships built.
Today we have over 100 people who show up regularly to the Little Gym in the Woods to train hard. We have a blast while here. The benefits of physical training are immense. Adding in the stress relief, health benefits, and energy boosts, it seems it can’t get much better. Yet the relationships we share and the bond we develop becomes priceless.
This year is a milestone. 15 years in business is a long time for the fitness field. We want to celebrate all year long. We’ll run challenges each month, sometimes 2 in a month! January will find us swinging a KB 1500 times each week while also challenging each other to drink 15 ounces of water before having anything else. Other challenges will include losing 15 pounds, doing pushups, skiing on the Ski Ergs, pushing the sled, and eating 15 different veggies in a month. (that last one is harder than you think)
Challenges help us to dive in and focus on one or two things to improve our health and fitness. They also help us to tackle something we normally wouldn’t do. There is a whole lot of satisfaction accomplishing something you weren’t sure you could. Working on challenges with like minded friends is priceless.
I don’t know what tomorrow brings. I don’t know how many more years Cr8 Fitness will be around; we are probably going to retire sometime in the next 15 or 20 years, right? 🙂 But however long we are here we will continue to serve you in the best way we know how. To get better, like you are getting better. To coach you to eat well and exercise smart, to have fun, and to enjoy life.
